Rare Plant Fairy Founder Wins EY Entrepreneur Of The Year® Regional Award 2025

We’re beyond excited to share some incredible news: our founder, Jocelyn Ho, has been named a regional winner of the prestigious EY Entrepreneur Of The Year® award!

This award is one of the most competitive and well-respected honors in business. Each year, Ernst & Young recognizes standout entrepreneurs who demonstrate exceptional vision, leadership, and impact. Winners are selected based on their entrepreneurial spirit, long-term value creation, purpose-driven commitment, and significant growth and impact.

To be recognized among past winners like Sara Blakely (Spanx), James Park (Fitbit), Howard Schultz (Starbucks), and Arthur Blank (The Home Depot) is nothing short of surreal.

But what makes this moment truly meaningful is what it represents.

Rare Plant Fairy started in an 8x10 spare bedroom during the height of the pandemic. Jocelyn had just immigrated to the U.S., with no network, no outside funding—just a deep love for rare plants and a bold vision for how the industry could be better. From those early days of packing orders on the floor with sphagnum moss in her hair, Rare Plant Fairy has grown into a 12,000 sq. ft. commercial facility, complete with a tissue culture lab, a team of 25, and a mission to send out one million pots of happiness.

This award is not just a win for our founder. It’s a win for the entire Rare Plant Fairy community—our customers, our team, our growers, our wholesalers, and everyone who has believed in this journey.

Thank you for supporting us, growing with us, and helping us create something truly magical. We are honored to represent our region and will be heading to the national EY Entrepreneur Of The Year® Awards in Palm Springs this November!

With love and gratitude,
The Rare Plant Fairy Team
