The leaves are thick and rigid with a deeply textured, almost reptilian surface, featuring the species' signature gray-green to silver matte finish and prominent raised venation. Albo variegation appears as irregular splashes, streaks, and sectoral patches of bright white to creamy ivory scattered across the rough, tactile surface. The contrast between the cool, muted base and the clean white patterning is striking, and the heavy leaf texture makes the variegation stand out even more than it would on a smooth-leafed plant. Every unfurl is different, and heavily variegated leaves on this species are genuinely rare. It does best in bright, indirect light to maintain both the metallic finish and strong variegation.
