Alocasia sanderiana Pink Variegated (often referred to in the hobby as pseudosanderiana) is a rare variegated form of Alocasia sanderiana with elongated leaves and softly contoured margins. The foliage has a deep green base with irregular pink variegation expressed as marbling and sectoral areas caused by reduced chlorophyll. In cultivation, this form is commonly distinguished from Alocasia sanderiana ‘Nobilis’, which has a more rigid, triangular leaf shape. While “pseudosanderiana” is not a formally recognized botanical name, it is widely used by collectors to describe this non-nobilis sanderiana type. This plant grows upright and performs best in bright, indirect light with evenly moist, well-draining soil and warm, stable conditions.
