Alocasia sanderiana pink variegated (often referred to in the hobby as pseudosanderiana) is a rare variegated form of Alocasia sanderiana distinguished by its elongated leaf shape and flowing margins. The foliage has a deep green base with aurea variegation expressed in yellow to golden tones caused by reduced chlorophyll, appearing as marbling and irregular sectoral areas. In cultivation, this form is commonly differentiated from Alocasia sanderiana ‘Nobilis’, which has a more rigid, triangular leaf shape. While “pseudosanderiana” is not a formally recognized botanical name, it is widely used by collectors to describe this non-nobilis sanderiana type. This plant grows upright and performs best in bright, indirect light with evenly moist, well-draining soil and warm, stable conditions.
