Phyllanthus Urinaria Pink Variegated (aka 'Sensitive Plant')

Phyllanthus Urinaria Pink Variegated, sometimes sold as Sensitive Plant‚ is a delicate, fast-growing herbaceous plant known for its small, rounded leaves arranged neatly along slender stems. This variegated form develops a green base layered with soft pink, blush, and creamy white coloration, with the pattern often becoming more pronounced on newer growth and in brighter light. The foliage can develop fine marbling and irregular patches, giving each stem its own balance of color.

The plant has a naturally branching, upright to spreading growth habit and produces small inconspicuous flowers along the stems, which may be followed by tiny round fruits. Despite sometimes being referred to as a Sensitive Plant, Phyllanthus Urinaria is sensitive to light rather than touch. Its foliage does not fold or react when touched. It performs best in bright, indirect light, warm temperatures, moderate to high humidity, and consistently moist but well-draining soil. Its fine foliage and compact habit make it well suited to terrariums, humid plant cabinets, or as a delicate accent among larger tropical plants.
