Begonia maculata pink variegated is a cultivated form of Begonia maculata that was once considered extremely rare and elusive, with some collectors believing it did not exist at all. The elongated, wing-shaped leaves display the species’ characteristic green base and silver spotting, overlaid with soft pink to blush-toned variegation caused by reduced chlorophyll. Leaf undersides retain a reddish hue, adding contrast as the plant matures. This begonia exhibits an upright, cane-type growth habit and grows best under high humidity, bright, indirect light, and evenly moist, well-draining soil.
