DocBlock® Anthuriums are premium hybrid Anthuriums developed through decades of meticulous selective breeding by Dr. Jeff Block, a physician and botanist widely respected in the aroid community. These plants are prized for thick, velvety foliage, bold contrast veining, and dramatic emergent colors in shades of burgundy, red, violet, and purple that mature to deep green. Intentionally bred for strength and resilience, DocBlock hybrids are true collector-grade plants.

DocBlock® Anthuriums are licensed genetics grown by authorized growers. Rare Plant Fairy is one of only two licensed DocBlock growers in North America, and every plant includes original DocBlock breeder tags verifying authentic lineage.

Anthurium ‘Michelle’ by DocBlock® is a signature DocBlock hybrid prized for its velvety foliage, elegant proportions, and rich color development. The leaves are broad and heart-shaped with a deep green, plush surface and strong contrasting veins that become more defined with maturity. New leaves emerge a deep red before hardening off to darker tones, creating visual interest with each growth cycle. ‘Michelle’ is named after Dr. Jeff Block’s beloved wife. This cultivar has a compact to intermediate growth habit and performs best in bright, indirect light with high humidity and evenly moist, well-draining substrate.
