Anthurium wendlingeri is a species from Central America, found in the warm, humid forest habitats and is known for its long, ribbon-like foliage. In cultivation, younger plants begin with shorter, more compact leaves before gradually developing the elongated, strap-shaped form associated with the species. Early growth is soft green, with venation becoming more defined as the plant establishes.
At maturity, the plant produces a slender green spathe and an exceptionally long spadix that coils into a distinctive spiral, a trait that sets this species apart within the genus. It grows best in bright, indirect light with warm conditions, high humidity, and evenly moist, well-aerated media.
