Philodendron ‘Princess of Fire’ is a cultivated form of Philodendron erubescens selected for its complex, multicolored foliage. New leaves emerge in warm red tones, while established foliage shows a mix of pink and aurea variegation caused by reduced chlorophyll in affected tissue. Where these pigments overlap and marble across the leaf, the result is a layered, rainbow-like effect that shifts as the leaf matures. Because the plant is frequently producing new growth, multiple colors are often visible on the plant at the same time. It has a climbing growth habit and grows best in bright, indirect light with evenly moist, well-draining soil and warm, stable conditions.
