This hybrid cross pairs the rounded, bulbous pitcher profile of Nepenthes mirabilis var. globosa with the compact, tubby shape and clustering habit of Nepenthes ampullaria. The resulting lower pitchers are squat, wide, and heavily patterned in red or green-and-red speckling, topped by an open, round peristome. It grows well in warm, humid lowland conditions with bright indirect light. Keep the root zone evenly moist using only low-mineral water, such as reverse osmosis, distilled, or rainwater.
