Alocasia Longiloba 'Suhirmaniana' Purple Vein

Alocasia longiloba 'Suhirmaniana' is a distinctive form of Alocasia longiloba known for its elongated, arrow-shaped leaves, dark coloration, and prominent venation. The foliage develops deep green to dusky purple tones with a smooth, slightly reflective surface, while pale veins trace the length of the leaf and create a defined contrast against the darker blade. The undersides can develop rich purple coloration, which is echoed through the petioles and becomes more pronounced as the foliage matures.

The Suhirmaniana form maintains an upright, compact growth habit and produces new leaves from a central crown, gradually developing a fuller appearance with age. It performs best in bright, indirect light, warm stable temperatures, elevated humidity, and evenly moist but well-draining soil. Good airflow and consistent moisture support healthy root and leaf development, while adequate light helps maintain the deep coloration and strong venation that give this form its distinctive appearance.
