Ficus Lyrata Variegated (Variegated Fiddle Leaf Fig)

Ficus lyrata variegated, commonly known as the Variegated Fiddle Leaf Fig, is a cultivated form of the classic fiddle leaf fig distinguished by its large, violin-shaped foliage and creamy white to soft yellow variegation. The leaves retain the thick, leathery texture and prominent veining characteristic of the species while developing irregular areas of lighter coloration across the deep green surface. Variegation can appear as sectoral patches, marbling, streaks, or lighter areas along the veins and margins, with each leaf developing its own balance of color as the plant matures.

This selection maintains the upright growth habit of Ficus lyrata and can gradually develop into a small indoor tree with a strong central stem and increasingly substantial foliage. It performs best in bright, indirect light, warm stable temperatures, moderate humidity, and a well-draining growing medium. Allow the upper layer of soil to dry slightly between waterings while maintaining consistent moisture through the root zone, and provide good airflow around the plant to support healthy foliage and roots.
