Alocasia Tandurusa Variegated is a cultivated variegated form of Alocasia tandurusa, a species native to Sulawesi, Indonesia, previously known in cultivation as Alocasia ‘Jacklyn’ or ‘Jaclyn’. It retains the species’ distinctive, deeply lobed foliage while adding unpredictable white to creamy variegation.Juvenile plants produce narrower, lighter green leaves with subtle marbling or splashes that may appear lightly expressed as the plant establishes.
As it matures, the foliage becomes more dramatically lobed and textured, and can produce significantly larger leaves under optimal conditions. Variegation ranges from fine streaking to bold sectoral blocks, contrasting against rich green tones and accentuating the prominent veins. This cultivar performs best in bright, indirect light with warm temperatures, high humidity, and evenly moist, well-aerated media.
