Alocasia 'Plumbea' Pink Variegated is a rare variegated form of Alocasia plumbea, known for its elongated, shield-like leaves and smoky, metallic undertones. The Milky Way version that has been popularized in the collectors market originated from the Rare Plant Fairy collection. The specking of the variegation holds a unique pattern that's distinct from other variegated plumbea that is reminiscent of the Milky Way galaxy. Leaves are held upright on sturdy petioles, forming a compact, sculptural silhouette as the plant matures. All of our Plumbea are grown from a single mother plant that carried this particular mottled pattern, and most (if not all) of the ones circulating in the collectors market today trace back to this same original mother. This cultivar prefers bright, indirect light to maintain strong coloration, along with evenly moist, well-draining soil, elevated humidity, and warm, stable temperatures for consistent growth.
