Fallopia multiflora Aurea Variegated is a variegated form of Fallopia multiflora that displays yellow to golden variegation, a trait that is considerably rarer than the already uncommon pink variegated selections. The leaves are heart-shaped with a medium green base and irregular aurea patterning caused by reduced chlorophyll. This species is a fast grower when established and prefers consistently moist soil, making it more water-demanding than many vining houseplants. It has a vining growth habit that can be trained on support or allowed to trail and performs best in bright, indirect light with well-draining substrate.
