Nepenthes x hookeriana is a naturally occurring hybrid between Nepenthes ampullaria and Nepenthes rafflesiana. It produces sturdy, barrel-shaped lower pitchers densely mottled with dark red and burgundy blotches over a pale green surface, finished with a finely striped, scalloped peristome. Inheriting the steady, adaptable growth habit of both parents, it thrives in warm temperatures, high humidity, and bright indirect light. Keep the substrate consistently damp using only reverse osmosis, distilled, or rainwater.
