Pinguicula cyclosecta is a Mexican butterwort distinguished by its broad, spoon-shaped leaves that turn deep shades of purple, violet, and slate-blue under intense lighting, accented by contrasting pale green glandular margins. It alternates between open, sticky carnivorous rosettes in the active growing period and tighter, non-carnivorous succulent rosettes in winter. Maintain bright indirect light to gentle morning sun to bring out its darkest coloration, and hydrate exclusively with reverse osmosis, distilled, or rainwater to keep the substrate moderately moist during active growth.
